Explorer boards provide a common, up-to-date work context to business and technical teams to help them get things done. Think of them as of a modern alternative to SharePoint.
Provide your teams with boards that display the current state of a particular business or technical processes updated in real time. Get everyone on the same page by sharing important metrics, reports, documents, and dashboards, as well as automation flows for taking actions. For instance:
Boards are constructed by stacking sections of different types. Any board can have any combination of the following section types:
Unlike traditional dashboards, Explorer boards are intended for action and collaboration, not just for looking at charts and metrics.
From boards, you can navigate and explore your business data further by retrieving in one click detailed datasets, transactions, logs, related documents, analytical reports, or going to specific pages in other applications and websites (e.g., CRM systems, government portals, or BI applications).
With the Data Catalog, your team members can find and retrieve all the data they need from one place, no matter where this data is physically located and regardless of their technical skills.
Create and share with your team a searchable directory of all the data assets your team needs for day-to-day operations. Assets you can add to the Catalog:
Data tables (datasets) in the Catalog don't have to physically exist somewhere. They can be computed on demand with visual EasyMorph workflows. It helps avoid copying data, building dedicated analytical databases and data pipelines.
Computed datasets are always up to date and contain exactly the requested information. All you need to open them is to click a button.
Features:
In the Catalog, not only tables can be computed on they fly. Paths to files can also be dynamically computed on demand. As a result, one "computed" file asset (e.g., "Invoice") can provide access to many documents of the same type.
In a similar fashion, a weblink can be computed on demand as well. Such "smart" links can point to customer profiles in CRM systems, locations on Google Maps, or BI dashboards with pre-selected values in filters.
Organize your teamwork by creating issues (tickets), assigning them to team members, and monitoring progress. Attach files and Catalog assets to provide a context for taking actions.
A simple, easy-to-use task management tool, tightly integrated with boards and the Catalog. Use the issue tracker to receive alerts and inquiries and assign team members to them for resolution. Attach files, links, and Catalog assets. Manage your team workload by snoozing issues or forwarding them to other teams.
Create custom issue types for different types of tasks and notifications. Configure processing states for each type.
Examples:
Besides regular file attachments, attach "smart" computed Catalog assets that provide more context and allow exploring data, retrieving documents related to this particular issue, or triggering pre-configured actions related to the issue (e.g., cancel the order).
All that makes issue resolution faster and more convenient as all the necessary information and automation is just a click away.
Issues are the center point of collaboration in Explorer which offers multiple ways to create (raise) issues throughout the application for user convenience. For instance, issues can be created right in Tasks, in File Manager, or in Analysis View.
Besides that, issues can be raised automatically in any EasyMorph workflow with the help of the "Raise issue" action.
Some people just like SQL. For them, Explorer offers a lightweight query editor that works right in the browser. Use it to query data in more than 25 database types supported by EasyMorph.
Write SQL queries right in the browser and explore database tables. Use the pre-configured database connectors already available in the current Hub space.
Open the query result in Analysis View for fast in-browser filtering, analysis, and exploration.
Alternatively, download the full query result as a file in one of the following formats:
Share querybooks safely with less technical colleagues for easier collaboration. Leverage the role-based permissions configurable in the space settings to prohibit them from changing queries or saving changes.
Configure Explorer in each Hub space individually to isolate user groups.
Use the built-in role-based access control (RBAC) to permit using only certain Explorer capabilities.
Configure user authentication via Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, or OpenID Connect.
Unlike cloud-based tools that require you to send your data to some computer somewhere in exchange for the banal promise that "your privacy is our top priority", with EasyMorph your data simply never leaves your computer(s). It stays where it is, where you can control it.
Explorer is enabled in one space in the standard Hub license (except the Basic Hub edition). Purchase the "Unlimited Explorer" add-on to enable it in all Hub spaces.
| Hub add-on | Team Hub | Enterprise Hub |
|---|---|---|
| Unlimited Explorer (enables Explorer in all spaces) | +$4,500/yr | +$9,000/yr |
