Collaborative infoboards

Explorer boards provide a common, up-to-date work context to business and technical teams to help them get things done. Think of them as of a modern alternative to SharePoint.

Provide your teams with boards that display the current state of a particular business or technical processes updated in real time. Get everyone on the same page by sharing important metrics, reports, documents, and dashboards, as well as automation flows for taking actions. For instance:

  • Monitor and control a data pipeline
  • Track and resolve data quality issues
  • Monitor and coordinate order processing
  • Organize and manage month-end closing
  • Monitor and coordinate regulatory reporting
  • Overview and coordinate patient admission

Boards are constructed by stacking sections of different types. Any board can have any combination of the following section types:

  • Metrics and KPIs
  • Shared files and folders
  • Tables and charts
  • Open issues (tickets)
  • Automation tasks
  • Data Catalog assets
  • Links to external resources
  • Multi-line text
  • (Embedded) Tableau and Power BI dashboards

Unlike traditional dashboards, Explorer boards are intended for action and collaboration, not just for looking at charts and metrics.

  • Upload and download files
  • Trigger automation flows
  • Create, assign, and resolve issues (tickets)
  • Update records
  • Find and retrieve documents (e.g. invoices)

From boards, you can navigate and explore your business data further by retrieving in one click detailed datasets, transactions, logs, related documents, analytical reports, or going to specific pages in other applications and websites (e.g., CRM systems, government portals, or BI applications).

Hyperlinked Data Сatalog

With the Data Catalog, your team members can find and retrieve all the data they need from one place, no matter where this data is physically located and regardless of their technical skills.

Create and share with your team a searchable directory of all the data assets your team needs for day-to-day operations. Assets you can add to the Catalog:

  • Data tables (downloadable as Excel or CSV files)
  • Metrics and KPIs
  • BI dashboards (e.g., Tableau or Power BI)
  • Files and folders
  • Remote folders (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Web links and websites
  • Database queries

Data tables (datasets) in the Catalog don't have to physically exist somewhere. They can be computed on demand with visual EasyMorph workflows. It helps avoid copying data, building dedicated analytical databases and data pipelines.

Computed datasets are always up to date and contain exactly the requested information. All you need to open them is to click a button.

Features:

  • Computation parameters (e.g, period start and end dates)
  • Download as Excel of CSV files
  • View, filter, and analyze right in Explorer

By using computed assets, the Catalog can "hyperlink" together data that resides in many disparate business systems. As a result, you can navigate and explore all your business data from one place, Explorer, no matter where it's physically located.

For instance, you can start by looking at recent orders, then go in one click from specific order to the customer who made it, then open the payment details and download the invoice. Even if all this data is stored in different business systems, you can still browse and open it in Explorer without leaving the application.

Highly automated issue tracker

Organize your teamwork by creating issues (tickets), assigning them to team members, and monitoring progress. Attach files and Catalog assets to provide a context for taking actions.

A simple, easy-to-use task management tool, tightly integrated with boards and the Catalog. Use the issue tracker to receive alerts and inquiries and assign team members to them for resolution. Attach files, links, and Catalog assets. Manage your team workload by snoozing issues or forwarding them to other teams.

Create custom issue types for different types of tasks and notifications. Configure processing states for each type.

Examples:

  • Data quality problem
  • Alert about a KPI falling out of range
  • Notification about incomplete orders
  • Request to provide data
  • Form submission from website
  • Upcoming equipment maintenance

Besides regular file attachments, attach "smart" computed Catalog assets that provide more context and allow exploring data, retrieving documents related to this particular issue, or triggering pre-configured actions related to the issue (e.g., cancel the order).

All that makes issue resolution faster and more convenient as all the necessary information and automation is just a click away.

Issues are the center point of collaboration in Explorer which offers multiple ways to create (raise) issues throughout the application for user convenience. For instance, issues can be created right in Tasks, in File Manager, or in Analysis View.

Besides that, issues can be raised automatically in any EasyMorph workflow with the help of the "Raise issue" action.

Lightweight SQL query tool

Some people just like SQL. For them, Explorer offers a lightweight query editor that works right in the browser. Use it to query data in more than 25 database types supported by EasyMorph.

Write SQL queries right in the browser and explore database tables. Use the pre-configured database connectors already available in the current Hub space.

Open the query result in Analysis View for fast in-browser filtering, analysis, and exploration.

Alternatively, download the full query result as a file in one of the following formats:

  • CSV file
  • Excel spreadsheet
  • Apache parquet
  • Qlik QVD
  • Tableau Hyper

Organize queries into a querybook, a collection of queries to the same database. Share querybooks with your teammates to foster collaboration.

Share querybooks safely with less technical colleagues for easier collaboration. Leverage the role-based permissions configurable in the space settings to prohibit them from changing queries or saving changes.

Features

Isolated user spaces

Configure Explorer in each Hub space individually to isolate user groups.

Role-based access

Use the built-in role-based access control (RBAC) to permit using only certain Explorer capabilities.

Enterprise authentication

Configure user authentication via Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, or OpenID Connect.

Data privacy

Your sensitive data doesn't go anywhere. It remains where it is.

Unlike cloud-based tools that require you to send your data to some computer somewhere in exchange for the banal promise that "your privacy is our top priority", with EasyMorph your data simply never leaves your computer(s). It stays where it is, where you can control it.

  • EasyMorph doesn't collect customer data or metadata.
  • EasyMorph doesn't spy on your actions (telemetry).
  • EasyMorph can work even in air-gapped networks where computers are entirely disconnected from the internet.

Add-on pricing

Explorer is enabled in one space in the standard Hub license (except the Basic Hub edition). Purchase the "Unlimited Explorer" add-on to enable it in all Hub spaces.
